IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT SOME WHO USE THE MARINA ARE NOT PICKING UP THEIR TRASH WHEN THEY LEAVE. OTHERS WHO CARE ABOUT OUR RIVERS AND BOUCHELLE PROPERTY ARE PICKING UP AFTER THEM. PLEASE DON’T LITTER AND CARRY OUT WHAT YOU BRING TO THE AREA. A BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO ARE KEEPING THE AREA CLEAN. WE WILL BE PUTTING OUT TRASH CANS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE – BUT PLEASE – IF THEY ARE FULL, CARRY OUT YOUR TRASH. WHEN THEY OVERFLOW, THE WIND BLOWS THE TRASH OUT INTO THE RIVER.

Those of you in our Boating Community PLEASE LOCK the gate behind you when entering or leaving the BOAT YARD.

Reminders: Leave NO valuables in your vehicles. Lock it and pocket the keys.

When fueling your vehicle at a gas station – remove keys from ignition and do not leave valuables, such as handbags, in sight.

As always, we want to see everyone enjoy our amenities. However, many choose to ignore the rules that were created to keep everyone safe at the pool. The most recent incident was glass in the pool. Not only did it endanger those who might have been cut by the glass and shut the pool area down so that no one could enjoy it, but the broken glass went into the pool pump causing repairs thus far of over $2000.00. Security will be denying entrance to anyone bringing in glass or found in the pool area with glass of any kind. Be sure to be responsible and bring your drinks in non-glass containers.

Now that the active storm season has arrived in Florida, we would like to remind all of our residents and visitors that Florida is the “LIGHTNING CAPITOL OF THE WORLD”. During the week of June 6th 2016, ten people were struck by lightning bolts in Florida. Given that, our security personnel and management staff are instructed to close the pool areas when thunder and lightning are in the area. Please comply promptly and graciously for your safety as well as theirs.

We were reminded at the last CSA Board Meeting that the exit onto 44 has blind area. You cannot see pedestrians and cyclists that are in the walkways approaching the entrance. So please approach slowly and look for them before rolling forward to see traffic and pull out.

For the benefit of our residents Bouchelle is offering a RIDE ALONG PROGRAM so residents may make an appointment to ride around the Island with the CSA President in our golf cart to view all the various projects that are currently in the works or being considered for the near future. In addition you may also schedule an appointment to ride with our Security Officers and see the nightly duties they perform. To schedule an appointment call Walt at 352-348-3025.

This is a reminder to please be sure you have your amenity passes with you. During the holiday weekends we will have extra security and they will be checking to make sure that we have no intruders on the island. Please remember you may have 4 guests with you. Have a great summer!!
